Time was too short
Our time with our father has come and gone. As we all know now there is never enough time. We have spent the remaining time with dad alone and as a family holding his hand and talking. We have read him all our posts and everyone’s responses. Dad was the greatest man WE ALL knew. We will strive our whole life to be half the human Scott was and still won’t come close to touching the lives he has touched. The final days were some of the hardest moments of our lives as we watched his strength drained from him. There were heartfelt moments and lots of tears as we sat around his bed saying goodbye. At 1:43pm on April 9, 2022 the strongest man we knew started his new journey. He left behind a huge group of loving friends and family. We have all felt the love and hugs sent to us from all those he touched. We want to thank everyone who made it into the hospital to see us and we want everyone to know that he died with all four of us kids, his loving wife and sister all holding his hand. He leaves us behind as he goes to be with his parents and siblings and all those that have left before us that wait for us to join them.
Love always,
All of us.
Godspeed Uncle Scott.

ReplyDeleteIt is with great sadness that I am reading today's update! My heartfelt condolences goes out to the family! Scott will be truly missed by all the people he has touched. It would have been wonderful to see him in his last days but at least now his pain will be gone. I am blessed that he was part of my life and I will always remember my true friend Big Scotty as a big man with an even bigger heart. R.I.P ( Bam-Bam)

My thoughts turn now to Janet and the kids and Linda, and everyone trying to come to grips with Scott's passing. There just hasn't been time to adjust to this. I know his memory will continue to bring a smile for all of my life. Lucky me, to have known him. ๐๐๐
